Mesopotamia Cardiff

Mesopotamia is a family-run restaurant that serves delicious freshly cooked Iraqi cuisine.  Amigo Consulting have helped Mesopotamia with a number of different aspects of their business in order to help them progress.

They needed a website that would help them promote their values, their cuisine and would increase their presence and searchability on the internet. The idea was to give them the opportunity to provide an online food ordering service should they need it and a facility to connect their site to their social media sites such as facebook.

Photos of Mesopotamia dishes were taken by Amigo consulting for the purpose of Marketing content on their website, social media and advertising.

Business and Marketing Strategy

Amigo Consulting have also advised Mesopotamia on how best to market a company on a restricted budget.  Making use of foot fall traffic, encouraging customers of other areas of Cardiff, and taking part in events that help to promote their brand and give customers the opportunity to taste their food.

Branding – Menus, Posters, Presentations

Amigo Consulting created the Menus, digital window presentations and Special Offer posters used at Mesopotamia to help them keep consistency in their branding.

Service skills and Mentoring

We took Mesopotamia staff through the importance of Service both front of house and back.  Highlighting potential impacts that a “break in the chain” may have on customer orders.  Staff were trained in how to greet customers, up sell and cross sell dishes, and ensure a friendly, attentive and efficient service.

EPOS System Set up

Mesopotamia’s Till/EPOS system was out of date and the renewal costs were expensive considering it was based on a yearly rate.  We delivered them an Open Source EPOS system that gave them the benefits of Customisation to their needs together with Sales Reports, Stock control, Loyalty Card system and a whole lot more. The advantage for them is that the system is now subscription free and can be modified in the future should they need further customisation.
